Steve Turcotte, founder of Unlimited Works Construction Co.
Uncompromising Standards

Technical Precision.

Steve Turcotte has worked in construction for 20 years and has been licensed in his own right since 2013. He founded Unlimited Works Construction Co. in 2025 to carry that work forward under a single roof, dual-licensed as a General (B) and Electrical (C-10) contractor.

Holding both licenses means the electrical scope on your project isn't handed to an outside trade and coordinated at arm's length — Steve performs it under his own C-10. From structural wall removals in Newport Coast to Lutron and automation systems in San Clemente, the same license holder is on site and accountable for the work.

  • Dual-License Accountability: Steve holds both the B (General) and C-10 (Electrical) licenses, so the general and electrical scopes answer to one license holder instead of two firms pointing at each other.
  • Owner-Led Management: You work directly with Steve on every project. No handoff to a project manager, no layer between you and the decision-maker.
  • Coastal Experience: 13 years working in Orange County's beach cities — as a subcontractor to established general contractors, and since 2013 as the licensed contractor of record.

The Workflow

Seamless Project Delivery

01

Consultation & Site Assessment

Steve walks the site himself to evaluate its structural and electrical conditions, listens to your goals, and identifies the likely problems early — before anyone writes a number.

02

Detailed Scope & Proposal

We don't do 'guesstimates.' You receive a written scope detailing labor, materials, and what is and isn't included, so the exclusions are on the page instead of discovered mid-job.

03

Owner-Led Management

You are never handed off to a project manager. You have a direct line to Steve, the license holder, throughout the build — which means decisions get made the same day.

04

Precision Execution & Inspection

We keep a clean, safe, organized job site. From rough-in through final inspection, every phase is built to code and finished to the standard Steve is willing to put his own license behind.

Common Inquiries

Project Essentials & Licensing

Q1: Do you use subcontractors or your own employees?

A: Both, and we tell you which is which before work starts. Steve self-performs the electrical scope under his own C-10 license, and our field crew handles framing, structural work, and finish carpentry. Specialty trades — stone fabrication, glass, plaster, roofing — are performed by licensed subcontractors we've worked with for years. Every subcontractor on your project carries their own license and insurance.

Q2: How do you handle permitting and city inspections?

A: We pull and manage the permits for your project, coordinate with plan check, and schedule every city inspection. We work regularly with the building departments in Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and San Clemente, and have built to approved plans and conditions of approval on projects inside the coastal zone. When an inspector calls for a correction, we address it directly and keep the schedule moving.

Q3: Are you licensed and insured?

A: Yes. Unlimited Works Construction Co. holds active CSLB Class B (General Building) and Class C-10 (Electrical) licenses under License #986272, and carries General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Workers' Compensation coverage. We provide certificates of insurance on request before any project begins.

Q4: Do you handle small electrical service calls or just large remodels?

A: Both. We specialize in major renovations and new construction, and we also take service work — panel upgrades, EV charger installations, and troubleshooting on complex lighting and automation systems.

Q5: I see projects on your site from before 2025. Who built those?

A: Steve did. He has held a California contractor's license since 2013, operating as STi General & Electric through March 2025 and as Unlimited Works Construction Co. since. Every project in our portfolio is dated and was built by Steve under one of those two licenses.
